Campuses - Melbourne

Facilities

The Melbourne campus is walking distance to many of Melbourne’s cultural, social and cosmopolitan landmarks. Students can spend their lunch hours eating and socialising at any one of the many cafes, eateries and parks in the immediate vicinity of the college. The campus also has a kitchen where students can prepare food from home and a fridge available for student use.

AIE believes that if you want to find work in the industry you need to train on industry standard equipment and software.  We pride ourselves on this using the latest software and hardware in our studio classrooms. All of our equipment and software is constantly reviewed to ensure that it is reflective of the current state of industry.

If after consulting with industry we find that a new piece of software or hardware is becoming prominently used in the industry, we will introduce it into the course. Through this exposure our students are able to come up to speed quickly when hired and immediately become a useful member of any games development team.

Each studio classroom is equipped with a video projector connected to the tutors machine allowing students to observe industry from their own workstations, putting this information into immediate practice.

Our presentation theatre is used by both students and industry, and is furnished with state of art sound and projection systems to run games on any console. This allows students to develop greater understandings of game theory and design, by attending lectures, industry presentations and reviewing the latest game technologies.
